In February 2023, Oliver McTernan, Jordan Morgan and Alice Copland travelled to Saudi Arabia to participate in the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KS Relief) Riyadh international Humanitarian Forum.Oliver McTernan shared insights from the region during his participation in a panel discussion entitled ‘Anticipatory Action: Strengthening Local Community Resilience’.While in Saudi Arabia we engaged bilaterally with members of the Shura Council, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies. Meetings were an opportunity to discuss developments in the region and to provide updates on Forward Thinking’s work, including our work with women parliamentarians.
