On 17th May Forward Thinking facilitated a meeting between a cross-party delegation of Members of the Knesset, the former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, and the Director of the Kennedy Institute in Maynooth, Peter Cassells, in order to discuss the former Prime Minister's experiences in negotiating the Good Friday agreement. The conversation focused on the necessity of political will and risk-taking in leading constituency, with participants expressing their appreciation of the hope they had taken from the Irish experience of peace-building.
