Meetings in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, at the Knesset & Likud HQ with Chiefs of Staff & Kobi Gavriel, Adviser to Prime Minister Netanyahu, 9-10 September 2025

As part of our ongoing engagement with political personnel in Israel, Jordan and Oliver travelled for meetings in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem between 9-10 September. These included constructive discussions in both the Knesset and the headquarters of Likud, its largest party. Oliver and Jordan sat down with advisers, Chiefs of Staff, and Kobi Gavriel, Adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Oliver and Jordan also met with representatives from the Hadash party, to hear the perspectives of Arab-Israeli politicians and to understand their place in current debates within and beyond Israel.

The meetings highlighted the value of Forward Thinking’s long-term engagement across various different groups in Israeli politics. They allowed us to better understand how we can continue to support  inclusive dialogue, reflection, and a broad range of perspectives among those who are still coming to terms with the attacks of 7 October 2023.
