Meeting with the Secretary General of the UGTT

On the 27th of October, Julian Weinberg met Houcine Abbassi - Secretary General of the UGTT, Tunisia's largest trade union - at a dinner hosted by the Ambassador of Tunisia to the UK. They discussed Abbassi's experience of the historic mediation role for which the UGTT and its partner organisations (UTICA, LTDH, and the National Order of Tunisian Lawyers) won the nobel peace prize in 2015, and the challenges and opportunities with the forthcoming investment conference in Tunisia,  hoped by the country to bring much needed international investment and job creation.
