Meeting with His Most Godly Beatitude, Patriarch Theophilos III.

From 22-25 July, Oliver and Jordan travelled to Ramallah and Jerusalem to meet with members of our political and religious networks.

In Ramallah, the two met the Palestinian Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Nafieh Assaf, to plan for an upcoming education programme we are developing to support educators from Gaza. They also met the Minister of Justice, Sharhabeel Al Zaeem, to discuss practical initiatives for dealing with the destruction of Gaza’s legal infrastructure.

In Jerusalem, they also met with the Latin Patriarch, His Holiness Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and the Greek Orthodox Patriarch, His Most Godly Beatitude Theophilos III. These meetings discussed the challenges facing the Christian communities in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, and opportunities to overcome them working with Christian, Muslim, and Jewish leaders.
