Annual Report 2019-20

Our Annual Report 2019-20 outlines our activities during the year, across our programmes. Below is a message from our Chairman, William Sieghart CBE:

In what has been a very challenging year for the world, Forward Thinking has once again managed to provide crucial support and opportunities for dialogue between nations and communities that are in conflict with each other. Whether on the front line in Gaza, amongst the Muslim communities of the UK or with senior diplomats and politicians in Helsinki, FT continues to create safe spaces for constructive conversations that lead to better understanding and often to prevent tense situations worsening. Despite all the constraints that Covid have imposed on us, FT, thanks to its deep and trusted personal relationships across the globe, has managed to keep conversations going and as many organisations have discovered through the use of digital technology, FT continues to make crucial breakthroughs in understanding between individuals, communities and nation states.

I know I speak on behalf of my fellow trustees when I thank all the FT team for their extraordinary commitment that as always goes well beyond the call of duty and I would also like to thank the governments, foundations and individuals who fund our difficult and challenging work.
