Helsinki Policy Forum Steering Group Meeting in Muscat, 11 October

The Helsinki Policy Forum Steering Group met in Muscat, Oman on the 11th of October. Officials from Egypt, Finland, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom participated, and part of the meeting was attended by Luigi Di Maio, the EU Special Representative for the Gulf. High on the agenda was the conflict in Gaza and all members of the Steering Group emphasised their commitment to finding an immediate cessation of the violence to prevent further loss of life.
