WSF Steering Group Meeting, 13 January 2026

The Women for a Sustainable Future (WSF) Steering Group convened online on 13 January. The meeting was attended by parliamentarians, a former parliamentarian, and an environmental expert from Finland, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden.

Discussions focused on the evolving challenges of rising Islamophobia in Europe, migration and social cohesion, and the humanitarian crises in Syria, Sudan, and Yemen. Members explored approaches to address these issues through inclusive policies, education, and interfaith engagement, and considered how WSF can strengthen parliamentary and civil society collaboration.

The network also reviewed progress on media engagement, strategic partnerships, and knowledge-sharing to enhance its influence and reach across Europe and the West Asia-North Africa (WANA) region.
